Climbing Mount Kilimanjaro Lemosho Route – Duration: 8 Days / 7 Nights

This route is rarely used and more isolated than other routes where by on the first day the group is accompanied by an armed ranger and also the climbers of Lemosho route will have additional benefit seeing herd of animals such as Buffalo, elephant and other Big game animals while crossing the spectacular Lemosho Glades .

Day 1: Arrival Day

On your arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport you will be met with your safari Guide and transferred to Arusha for your Dinner and Overnight at the Hotel.

Day 2: Londorossi Gate(2100 m) – Mti Mkubwa Camp (2,750m) – (7,380ft to 9,160ft)
Breakfast and briefing at your hotel then drive to Londorossi Park Gate (2,250m / 7,380ft, 2.5 hours). After park rules and regulations then drive towards the forest with our car show the way to Lemosho Glades (2,390m / 7,830ft, 11km) and a feasible campsite. Walk along forest following Mti Mkubwa campsite from then on dinner and overnight at Mti Mkubwa campsite.

Day 3: Mti Mkubwa camp (2,750m) – Shira 1 camp (3500m) – (9,160ft to 11,500ft)
Soon after breakfast, we prolong a following slowly but surely steepens and enters the giant heather moorland zone. Several streams are crossed then it gains the Shira ridge at about 3600m / 11,810ft and drops gently down to Shira 1 camp situated by the watercourse on the Shira Plateau. Dinner and overnight at Shira 1 campsite.

Day 4: Shira 1 camp (3500m) – Shira 2 camp (3850m) – (11,500ft to 12,600ft)
A gentle walk across the plateau leads to Shira 2 camp on moorland meadows by a stream soon after break today. A diversity of walks is available on the Plateau assembly this tremendous adjustment day. Dinner and overnight at the Shira 2 campsite.

Day 5: Shira 2 camp (3840m) – Barranco Hut (3860m) – (12,600ft to 12,700ft)
Breakfast then depart to Shira Plateau and prolonging to the east, fleeting the crossroads towards the peak of Kibo. Changing the direction to South East towards the Lava Tower there will be a little bit of face up to attempt this surpasses. Before long after the tower, we come to the second crossroads which brings us up to the Arrow Glacier at an altitude of 4,876 meters / 15,997 ft, carry on down to the Barranco Hut at an altitude of 3,860 meters / 12,664 ft. A bit rest, enjoying your dinner and overnight at Barranco Huts. Although you end the day at the same distance from the ground as when you began, today is the day of acclimatization and will help your body get ready for summit day.

Day 6: Barranco Hut (3,860m) – Karanga Hut (4,200m) – (12,700ft to 13,800ft)
Soon after breakfast, the following pass to Barranco and continues on a vertical ridge to the Barranco Wall, afterward the Karanga Valley (4,200m / 13,780 ft) campsite. You will have your dinner and overnight at the Karanga Valley campsite.

Day 7: Karanga Hut (4,200m) – Barafu Hut (4,600m) – (13,800ft to 15,100ft)

Breakfast, then depart to Karanga Valley outdo the crossroads which hook up with the Mweka path which is a reserved route for descending from other routes such as Machame, Lemosho, Umbwe and Shira. Then continuing to Barafu Hut, which is positioned at an elevation of 4,600 meters (15,092 ft). Just accomplished the South Circuit which offers views of the summit from many unusual angles. You will have your dinner and overnight at Barafu campsite.

Day 8: Barafu Hut (4,600m) – Summit (5,895m) & Down Mweka Hut (3,100m) – (15,100ft to 19,300ft) & (down to 10,200ft)
Your guide will wake you up for the preparation of trekking of the last point of Kilimanjaro after taking your cup of coffee/hot chocolate or tea with some snacks early in the morning and then continue your way to the summit of Uhuru Peak at 5,985 meters (19,636 ft) for about six hours to the highest point of Mount Kilimanjaro and the Africa Continent. Taking your memorable pictures at the summit and then startdescending continuing in a straight line down to the Mweka Hut campsite at 3,100 meters (10,171 ft) for about 5 hours up to Mweka gate and sign your name and details in a register for those who summit will receive certificates.Thereafter heading to Mweka village for lunch before transferred to Arusha for your dinner and overnight at the Hotel.

Day 9: Arusha – Tarangire National Park

Soon after breakfast then depart for Tarangire National park for your game viewing with lunch boxes, game drive till sunset. Dinner and overnight at Camp inTarangire

Day 10: Tarangire -Ngorongoro Conservation

Breakfast then departing for walking safari in Ngorongoro Conservation area for experiencing the multiple land use by human and wild animal with domestic animals and viewing Lake Eyasi among the rift valley lakes of north Tanzania. Dinner and overnight at Simba Campsite.

Day 11: Ngorongoro – crater tour – Arusha

Breakfast; then descending to the crater with lunch boxes for half day game drive and enjoying the mind’s eye viewing the dying out species (Black Rhino), lions, big flock buffalos, elephants, flamingos in lake Magadi and other water birds, Later enjoying your box lunches at the Hippo pool before heading to Arusha. Dinner and Overnight at Sakina Campsite.

Day 12: Shopping and Departure

Today after breakfast you will have time for leisure and shopping while waiting for your time to depart back home.

The Holiday will be over today but you will have plenty memories to Savor and photos to show friends and relatives. Our safaris are tailor made and can be extended to meet your needs.
